On Friday, August 23, the students at Cathedral of the Risen Christ School had the opportunity to listen to guest speakers and learn about three incredible student clubs at Cathedral. Girls in the younger grades listened to Susan Ekeler and Robin Maly talk about American Heritage Girls and its Christ-centered character development ministry, while the boys listened to Philip Steffen talk about Boy Scouts and how it can build a strong character, sense of service, and enhance spiritual growth. Mr. Mark Simmons, who instructs the Eagle Enrichment program along with Bud Synhorst and Sheri Baumgartner, spoke to the middle school students about ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens’ with emphasis on personal growth and the power of choices.
