Bishop Neumann students kicked off Catholic Schools week with a Day of Recollection. Each class had their own off site retreat below:
Seniors spent the day at the UNL Newman Center with speakers Scott Hartman and students from the UNL college panel on how to stay connected to their faith. Followed by Adoration, Confession and Mass.
Juniors spent the day at the UNO St. John Paul II Newman Center . Speaker included Alum Molly Gerdes Meduna (’16). Followed by Adoration, Confession and Mass.
The sophomore class spent the day at the Open Door Mission preparing and serving lunches, sorting cereals for breakfast and learning about different programs the mission has to offer.
Freshman loaded the bus and headed to St. Johns in Prague. Mr. Rezac spoke on kindness then split into groups to discuss. Freshman wrote letters today to their future senior selves. They joined together in a Rosary walk, Confessions and Mass.
8th Grade students were busy at the Catholic Social Services Warehouse sorting through shoes and clothing. They headed to St. Josephs for Confession and Adoration and finished the day at the Carmelites for Mass.
7th Graders started the day out at St. Mary’s in Davey to listen to speakers, Sr. Amy Marie & Tricia Meduna talk about Courage. Students then joined together in fun activities on being courageous, followed by Confessions and Adoration. Students ended the day with Mass at the Holy Family Shrine.
