Students attend Concert
On Wednesday March 2nd the fourth graders attended the “Link-up” Concert at the Holland Center in Omaha. Along with students from many other area schools they played their recorders with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra. Many aspects of composition, dynamics, and rhythms were explored in a fun way. After the concert students went to Lauritzen Gardens. They were given a guided tour and learned about many plants and the environments in which they grow. An added bonus were the 30 brilliantly-colored glass sculptures of Craig Mitchell Smith that were specifically designed for the Garden.
