Sacred Heart Lady Irish Volleyball Team and the Irish Pep Club teamed up on October 11th for a Cancer Awareness Night at the volleyball triangular against HTRS and Johnson-Brock. Players and fans wore t-shirts in support of various cancers showing the vast amount of families and friends affected by cancer. During the school day Pre-K through 8th grade students showed their support by paying $1 to wear their cancer support T-shirt and jeans to school (the high school had spirit week for homecoming). A raffle for over 30 donated items was held during the Volleyball Triangular. The event raised $450 for the Richardson County Cancer Society that helps with travel expenses for those receiving treatment. A huge thank you to everyone involved and everyone who showed their support.
