At the request of their teacher, Mr. Don McKee (not pictured) Pius X students Matt Barnes and Alex Baumert designed and built a beautiful scepter for the statue of Our Lady, Queen of Peace at Marycrest Motherhouse. Using a Makerbot 3D printer, the resourceful students designed and printed the missing piece, thus beautifying a statue originally gracing St. Thomas Orphanage, the Marian Sisters' first home and apostolate.
