Sacred Heart Volleyball Raises Funds
The Lady Irish Volleyball Team with the help of the Irish Pep Club held two fundraisers on October 5th to raise awareness and provide monetary help to the Richardson County Cancer Fund, whose mission statement is to provide monetary assistance to Richardson County residents for transportation costs incurred during cancer treatments outside of Richardson County. The students and staff of Sacred Heart were challenged to bring a dollar to school and wear a cancer support T-shirt for any type of cancer on October 5th. Then at the Volleyball games that evening, a raffle of over 20 items provided by the volleyball girls was held. The two events raised $503.25 for the Richardson County Cancer Fund. Presenting the check to Stacy Coupe of the Richardson County Cancer Fund is Brady Keller, Madison Huppert, Sara Wertenberger, Joe Bieker, Abby Fiegener, Stacy Coupe, Ryker Hoy, Marina Haralabidis, and Lauren Parrish.
