Deans
Rev. Gary Brethour is appointed Dean of the Grant Deanery. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Mark Seiker is appointed Dean of the York Deanery. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. J. Evan Winter is appointed Dean of the Orleans Deanery. He retains all other assignments.
Pastors
Rev. Samuel Beardslee is appointed pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Rulo, St. Mary Church in Arago; and teacher at Sacred Heart High School in Falls City.
Rev. Anthony Bedient is appointed pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Shelby.
Very Rev. Jay Buhman, V.F., is appointed pastor of St. Joseph Church in Lincoln.
Rev. Eric Clark is appointed pastor of All Saints Church in Holdrege, and St. John Church in Smithfield.
Rev. Doug Daro is appointed pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Crete. He retains his assignments as advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal and to Spanish Ministry in the Diocese of Lincoln.
Rev. Craig Doty is appointed pastor of St. Joseph Church in Geneva and St. Mary Church in Shickley. He retains his assignment of Judge for the Diocesan Tribunal and member of the Diocesan Equipping Team for Prayer and Healing.
Very Rev. Matthew Eickhoff, V.F., is appointed pastor of St. Mary Church in Denton.
Rev. Bernard Kimminau is appointed pastor of St. Mary Church in Orleans, St. Joseph Church in Alma, and St. Michael Church in Oxford.
Rev. Andrew Litt is appointed pastor of St. Joseph Church in York, and St. Patrick Church in McCool Junction; and as Chaplain to the Correctional Center for Women in York.
Rev. Michael McCabe is appointed pastor of St. James Church in Cortland.
Rev. Daniel Rayer is appointed pastor of St. Patrick Church in McCook, St. Anne Church in McCook, and Sacred Heart Church in McCook. He retains his appointment of Judge on the Diocesan Tribunal. He is released from all other assignments.
Rev. Tony Schukei is appointed pastor of St. James Church in Mead, Assistant Director of Vocations, and teacher at Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo.

Rev. Michael Zimmer is appointed pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Beaver Crossing and St. Patrick Church in Utica. He retains his assignment Chaplain to the Air National Guard.
Parochial Vicars
Rev. Mark Cyza is appointed senior parochial vicar of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ. He is released from his assignment as Education Specialist for the Diocesan Education Office.
Rev. Paul Frank is appointed senior parochial vicar of St. Peter Church in Lincoln. This appointment is effective August 1, 2026.
Rev. Thomas Lux is appointed senior parochial vicar of St. John the Apostle Church in Lincoln. He retains his appointment as Spiritual Advisor to the LDCCW.
Rev. Scott Nemec is appointed parochial vicar of Cristo Rey Church in Lincoln and to Spanish Ministry in the Diocese of Lincoln. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Augustine Reimers is appointed parochial vicar of the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center and Assistant Director of Vocations. He is released from his assignment as teacher at Pius X High School.
Special Appointments
Rev. Thomas Au is appointed coverage priest for the Diocese of Lincoln, retaining his residence at Kucera Hall.
Rev. Thomas Brouillette is appointed Chaplain for CHI Health – St. Elizabeth, and Nebraska Heart Institute. He is to take up his residence at Kucera Hall.
Rev. Jonathan Haschke is appointed Chief Administrative Officer of Aquinas Catholic Schools and priest in residence at St. Mary Church in David City.
Rev. Jamie Hottovy is appointed priest in residence at Sacred Heart Church in Lincoln and Chaplain for Bryan – East Hospital in Lincoln.
Rev. Matthew Kovar is appointed assistant principal at Pius X High School in Lincoln. He retains all other assignments.
Rev. Janusz Marzynski is appointed Co-Chaplain for Hospitals in the Lincoln Deaneries. He is assigned priest in residence at Kucera Hall.
Rev. Benjamin Rynearson is appointed Chief Administrative Officer of Lourdes Central Catholic High School and as priest in residence at St. Mary Church in Nebraska City.
Rev. Alec Sasse is appointed Dean of Men and teacher at St. Gregory the Great Seminary. He retains his appointment as Director of Vocations and Spiritual Advisor for the Serra Club.
Rev. Christian Schwenka is appointed Assistant Principal at Aquinas Catholic High School and priest in residence at St. Mary Church in David City.
Release/Retire
Rev. Maurice Current is granted retirement and is released from all assignments.
Msgr. Mark Huber is released to the Diocese of Grand Island for a term of three years. He retains his appointment as Chancellor of the Diocese of Grand Island and Judge on the Tribunal of the Diocese of Lincoln.
Rev. Bill Grant is granted retirement for medical reasons and is released from all assignments.
Rev. Gary Gross is granted retirement for medical reasons and is released from all assignments.
Rev. Lyle Johnson is granted retirement and is released from all assignments.
Newly Ordained

Clergy Appointments announced March 20
Very Rev. Brian Kane is appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Lincoln and Vicar for Clergy. He is released from his appointment as Rector of St. Gregory the Great Seminary and Director of Seminarians and retains his residence at St. Gregory the Great Seminary. This appointment is effective June 1, 2026.
Rev. James Morin is appointed Rector of St. Gregory the Great Seminary. He retains his assignment as Vice Chancellor of the Diocese of Lincoln. This appointment is effective June 1, 2026.

Very Rev. Thomas Brouillette has resigned his appointment as Vicar General of the Diocese of Lincoln and Vicar for Clergy. He retains his assignment of priest in residence at St. John the Apostle Parish in Lincoln.
Very Rev. Caleb La Rue is appointed interim Vicar General for the Diocese of Lincoln ad nutum episcopi. He is released from his appointment as Chancellor for the Diocese of Grand Island, and retains all other assignments.
