Four area parishes will host one-night missions as part of the “This Is the Hour” tour.
The goal of the mission is to encourage parishioners to rediscover their identity in Christ, gain clarity in a confusing world, and be renewed in their call to discipleship and evangelization.
The events will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 23 at St. Michael Church in Hastings; Friday, April 24 at St. Joseph Parish in York; Sunday, April 26 at St. John the Apostle Church in Lincoln; and Monday, April 27 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Grand Island.
Each event will feature two internationally known Catholic speakers.
Dr. Marcus Peter will present “This Is the Hour: The Urgency of the Gospel.” His talk will help participants “discover who you are, why this moment matters, and how God is calling you to live with purpose and confidence today.”
Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers will present “Go & Make Disciples: The Call to Evangelization.” He will aim to inspire and equip attendees to live the Catholic faith boldly and “bring Christ to the world with joy and courage.”
The events are open to adults and mature teens. A free-will offering is taken at each event; optional resources are available for attendees to purchase.
